Week 61 ~ Sickies :/

Dear Family & Friends,

Well, I don’t have too much to write about this week because we spent a good portion of our time this week inside due to sickness!  Us Sisters in Trinidad are falling apart, haha! Sister Tuala had chicken pocks.  Sister Ortiz had the flu.  And Sister Xavier was having some issues with a past sinus infection or something like that.  She was literally sneezing ever 2 seconds. 😂   So we weren’t able to get out and work as much as usual, but we still had a really good week filled with miracles, as usual:)
Gene:  He came to church again this week!  It’s really cool because he was a principal at a big school here in Sando and so a ton of the people in the ward know him so he has been fellowshipped in the ward really well, without any effort on our part.  He studies ever chapter we give him and we are able to see him every other day.  He honestly is one of the most prepared souls I have met on my mission!  And Heavenly Father basically handed him to us because Gene was the one to approach us and talk to us about the Gospel!  He is on date for baptism on June 24th:)  He is a miracle that came from fasting for a baptism and praying for a baptism every time we pray.  God is for sure a God of miracles, especially in missionary work.
Kristian:  He is such a gem.  We taught him the Law of Chastity, Word of Wisdom, and tithing this week and he agreed with all of it!!  In the culture here in the carribean, it’s normal to just live together and not be married, and more than normal to drink and smoke.  Finding Kristian was like finding a needle in a haystack, haha.
Sorry for such a short email, I am out of time.  Love you all so much.  Have a great week!

Sister Kimball
